A goal five minutes from time was enough to earn Badsey a share of the points in this hard fought encounter. Although possession was shared it was Peopleton who had the cutting edge and created the majority of the chances only to come up against a solid defensive barrier provided by Matt Rochelle and Jon Wallace along with some fine saves made by Ben Clark. But none of them was able to prevent James Taylor enhancing a fine performance by firing home a superb cross shot after 20 minutes that gave Peopleton a lead which they looked like hanging onto until Joe Nishigaki and Phil Young combined well for Townsend to stab home the late equaliser.
