Five goals from Striker Phil Young was the spearhead for an emphatic Badsey win against a competitive and hard working Pershore side. Badsey opened the scoring after only 8 minutes when a well struck free kick from Joe Dartnell was fortuitously deflected in by Young. The lead was short-lived when an own goal put Pershore back on level terms. Dartnell’s dead ball accuracy posed a constant threat and a deep corner was well met by Joe Nishigaki who lashed home for the goal of the game. Jon Wallace atoned for his own goal by grabbing the third just before half time. Heavy second half pressure was initially repelled by the hard worked Pershore defence for whom keeper George Bunn made several excellent saves. But 2 goals in a minute midway through the second half from Young to complete his hat trick finally broke the resistance.

Young added his fourth 5 minutes later. Nishigaki added his second with Young finally rounding off the scoring just before the final whistle.
