Rangers eased their way into the next round of the cup with a comfortable
win over spirited opponents. Badsey dominated the game from the start and with only 6
minutes gone James Mudie opened the scoring rounding the last defender and slotting the
ball past the oncoming keeper. Rangers created more chances and only good goalkeeping
stopped the home side from increasing their lead. The lead was nearly doubled after 20
minutes when Scott Southern saw his 20 yard free kick was well saved by the visiting
keeper. Badsey scored their 2nd just 1 minute later, after a good corner from Southern the
ball came out to Alex Jones who fired home from the edge of the area. Rangers Dale Simpson
was having a super game on the right causing many problems for the Peopleton defence and
from one of his fine runs the ball was put through to Mudie whos shot could only be
defected into his own net by the unfortunate Peopleton defender.

Rangers started the second half where they left off dominating midfield with Matty Andrew,
Alfie Dawe and Southern running the game. With 43 minutes gone a super ball from Dawe
split open the Peopleton defence and Roly Hall Roberts took the ball on and finished
superbly to increase the Badsey lead. With 48 minutes of the game gone Rangers made 5-0
from an Andrew throw in Southern flicked the ball over the defender and found the bottom
right corner of the net with a fierce drive. Joe Gisbourne was having a very solid game in
the Rangers goal performing well in very difficult conditions. Badsey went on to score two
more goals in the last minute after another fine run from man of the match Simpson the
ball was sent into the box by Mudie and fell into the path of Kieran James who made no
mistake from close range.With the final whistle about to blow Roberts made it 7-0 with a
good run and finish to complete a very good team performance.
