BADSEY RANGERS U12 2 PERSHORE TOWN U12 1 Rangers started the season with a very hard fought victory against a well organised Pershore side. Both defences were tested in the early stages of the game, Badsey creating the first opportunity, Scott Southern going close with 7 minutes gone after good work from Joe Haines. Rangers continued pushing forward and were awarded a free kick which Alfie Dawe put just wide. Pershore created chances of their own and went close from a corner kick after 15 minutes. End to end football continued with both sides working hard. Badsey took the lead on 27 minutes with Grieve ad Dawe linking up well to find Scott Southern who fired an unstoppable shot into the top corner from 20 yards out. Rangers lead lasted only 2 minutes with Fraser Goodlad putting a perfect pass through to Jack Farr who finished well. Half Time: Badsey Rangers 1 Pershore Town 1 Rangers made changes in the second half and continued to push forward. With 34 minutes gone Badsey regained the lead when Matty Andrew sent in a great corner which was deflected into the goal by an unfortunate Pershore defender. Pershores Man on the match Farr saw another good effort go just wide after 45 minutes and Andrews long range effort was brilliantly saved by the Pershore Keeper. Brilliant defending from Rangers man of the match Will Gillette allowed Rangers to hold on to the final whistle to gain a very hard fought 3 points.
