HARVINGTON U12 0 BADSEY RANGERS U12 6 Rangers good run continued with a very impressive performance that was played in very difficult conditions. With heavy rain and a bitter cold wind Badsey got off to a great start ,with only 2 minutes gone a fine run and cross from Matty Andrew was brilliantly headed home by Roly Hall Roberts. Rangers doubled the advantage 2 minutes later when James Mudie broke through the Harvington defence and slotted the ball past the oncoming goalkeeper. Badsey made it 3-0 after 6 minutes when Alfie Dawe won the ball in midfield and sent
through a super ball to Mudie who rounded the last defender and fired home well from
8yards. Rangers kept pushing forward and saw good efforts from Dale Simpson, Kieran James
and Scott Southern all going close. Harvington keeper was having a super game making some
great saves to deny the Rangers front men from increasing their lead. Badsey scored their
4th with 26 minutes gone Southerns well struck free kick could only be
parried out by the keeper and fell into the path of Simpson who tapped in from close
range. The first half scoring was completed with 27 minutes, good work in midfield from
Dawe sent Roberts wide on the left flank and his good run and cross from was picked up by
Mudie who finished well to complete his hat trick. With weather conditions getting worse as the game progressed credit must go to both
sets of players who continued to play good football. Harvington never gave up the battle
and had good breaks in the early stages of the second half, Badsey created good second
half chances and again great goalkeeping stopped them from increasing their lead .Tom
Drew, Alex Jones and Joe Haines were all having very solid games at the heart of the
Rangers defence breaking down good attacking moves from the Harvington front line. With 8
minutes left in the game Rangers completed the scoring with men of the match Dawe and
Roberts linking up well down the left Roberts sending in a super cross which was
brilliantly headed home by James at the far post. Goal Scorers. James Mudie 3 Roly Hall Roberts Dale Simpson Kieran James Men Of The Match: Alfie Dawe, Roly Hall Roberts |
