Rangers made it 4 wins on the run with another good team performance. Badsey made their intentions clear from the start, pushing forward at every opportunity. Dale Simpson’s throw in on 10 minutes found James Mudie who sent in a super cross for Martin Bloomfield who headed in at the near post. Rangers doubled their lead after 20 minutes when a short Matty Andrew corner to Simpson was crossed to Mudie who finished well from close range.. Rangers kept pushing forward and with half time looming another chance came but a super shot from Scott Southern just struck the Ilmington post.

With only 23 seconds of the 2nd half gone, rangers made it 3-0, Andrew winning the abll and sending in a super through ball to Mudie who slotted the ball past the advancing keeper. With Badsey’s midfield of Alfie Dawe, Andrew and Southern dominating, many more chances were created and it was soon 4-0 with Dawes inch perfect pass falling into the path of Bloomfield who made no mistake from close range. Mudie was unlucky not to complete his hat-trick only 2 minutes later, taking on the Ilmington defence and just hitting the post. Badsey made it 5-0 after joint men of the match, Andrew & Bloomfield linked up again and a super ball form Andrew allowed to outpace the defenders and find the bottom corner of the net.

The scoring was completed after 50 minutes, again with the midfield of Southern, Andrew and Dawe combining well. Andrew’s ball finding Bloomfield who again finished well after taking on the last defender. Credit must be given to the Rangers back line of Will Gillette, Alex Jones, Joe Haines and Michael Delo who closed down every challenge Ilmington threw at them to complete another excellent team performance.
