INKBERROW EAGLES U12 1 BADSEY RANGERS U12 2

Badsey Rangers returned home with a very hard fought 3 points against a well organized Inkberrow side. Early exchanges were cancelled out with both defences playing well. The first real chance of the game came with 10 minutes gone, good build up play from Dale Simpson found Scott Southern who sent through a great ball to James Mudie who saw his shot go just wide of the far post. The deadlock was broken after 13 minutes Rangers finding themselves in unfamiliar territory going a goal down, after sloppy defending and a poor clearance the ball fell into the path of a Eagles forward who slotted home well from 10yds.
This jolted Badsey into action and within 3 minutes they got back on level terms, again good work from Simpson winning the ball in midfield and a great ball from Alfie Dawe found Mudie on the right who’s run and cross was brilliantly headed home at the far post by Martin Bloomfield.
Rangers then took the lead just 1 minute later Inkberrow giving away a free kick 30 yds out which was fired into the area by Dawe and rebounded out off the Inkberrow keeper into the path of Southern who volleyed home from 6yds. With halftime approaching Badsey were unlucky not to increase the lead when Matty Andrew sent a fierce shot just past the upright.
Half Time Score. Inkberrow Eagles 1 Badsey Rangers 2.

Rangers started well in the second half and again could have increased the lead , after a super run and strike Dawe saw his effort hit the Inkberrow bar. The Eagles to their credit kept pushing forward and only resilient defending from man of the match Will Gillette made sure the Rangers lead stayed intact. With 52 minutes gone again Badsey hit the bar with Southern breaking from midfield his fine strike nearly doubled his tally.
Rangers had a good 5 minutes of sustained pressure with Roly Hall Roberts causing problems down the left hand side putting in some good crosses which could not be converted by the Rangers forwards. With 2 minutes remaining a fine through ball from Andrew found Bloomfield who, shot was blocked by a Inkberrow defender .
Good work from Simpson, Joe Haines and Gillette made sure Rangers held onto their lead to remain unbeaten.
Final Score Inkberrow Eagles 1 Badsey Rangers 2.
