BADSEY RANGERS U12 7 PEOPLETON U12 1 Badsey Rangers dominated this game from start to finish with a super display of open football. Early chances went Rangers way, with a strong wind behind them James Mudie, Matty Andrew and Scott Southern all went close to opening the scoring. Rangers dominance was rewarded after 10 minutes when Southern forced his way through the Peopleton defence and fired home from 10yds. Rangers lead doubled after 18 minutes when Dale Simpson produced a great run and cross which was brilliantly finished by the inform Mudie. Rangers kept pressing forward and good work from Joe Haines let in Roly Hall Roberts whos fine effort went just wide. Badseys pressure resulted in a free kick 3 minutes before the break and Alfie Dawe was unlucky to see his shot go just over the bar. Half Time Score Badsey Rangers 2 Peopleton 0 Badsey saved their best for the second half, playing against a very strong wind they played some super football and increased the lead after 35 minutes, Mudie breaking down the left flank sent in a low cross which was brilliantly finished by Roberts at the far post. Three minutes later Andrew made it 4-0 , breaking out from midfield he took on the Peopleton defence and fired home from 10 yards. Peopleton got on the scoresheet after 45 minutes with a good finish from close range. Rangers had to be on their toes for long periods of the second half and good performances in the Rangers defence from Alex Jones, Will Gillette and Haines made sure Peopletons efforts came to nothing. Badsey lost key players in the last 10 minutes of the game with Joe Gisbourne ,Dawe, and Simpson all limping off through injury . Rangers then put the result behind doubt with 51 minutes gone Andrew again took on the defenders and his pin point cross was well finished by Mudie. One minute later Kieran James made it 6-1 with the ball rolling out after a goalmouth scramble he calmly slotted home into the bottom right hand corner of the net. Rangers joint men of the match Haines and Andrew had a hand in the final goal Haines feeding Andrew who sent through James whos fine strike hit the bar and Roberts was on hand to tap in the rebound.
